Iran National Goods and Services Coding System is titled Iran Code in brief. This national system officially started, via a legal resolution worked out and ratified by Ministers Cabinet, its work within the framework of Iran National Goods and Services Coding System as one of the subordinates of the Ministry of Commerce and Economic Affairs Deputy of this ministry from the Aazar month of the 1385 of the Iranian Calendar.
The forming elements of this national system are divided into two parts:

1) Goods National Code: 
We may consider the most well-known product of Iran Code by 16-digit code of products. This code is consisted of 3 parts.
The first part is consisted of 3 digits, expressing the kind of the products and the group of products it belongs to. The second part is consisted of 4 parts, introducing the source that distributes the product. The third part is consisted of 3 parts, expressing the due qualifications of the distributor for the description and coding of products in terms of the standard patterns. In fact Iran Code creates and develops the standard of the identification, description and coding of goods at national level.
2) National Goods Portal: 
National Goods Portal is an electronic figurative portal that all existing goods and services in the country will gradually be observable on it. In fact every goods receiving National Goods Portal (Iran Code) will enjoy an electronic booth on National Goods Portal that will enable it to display its goods on it. Every goods due to its kind will be divided into the main groups and the specialized subordinates. Accordingly, the user with regard to their (his/her) need – no matter how small, how specialized – can access those goods through the canals that are installed in the portals. In this case they (he/she) will be able to observe the entire producers and distributors of their (his/her) goods in question in one go. They (he/she) will be able to compare all parameters such as price, quality, geographical density and so on, keeping in touch with the distributors of goods at least time and expense.

- It prevents the unnecessary purchasing in particular in the governmental section and also the exit of exchange.

Studying the legal resolution of Iran Code indicates that the government has, for the economic society of the country, assigned limits and necessities from the 1388 of the Iranian Calendar to make it join Iran National Goods and Services Coding System. So we recommend every individual to study the content of the resolution thorouly. We remind that according to the resolution, the elongation or issue of the commercial card, the receiving of the exporting encouragers, the record of orders and the purchase of the entire governmental devices, at high and average level, from the real or legal individuals who hasn’t received Iran Code, will not be performable from 1388.
